The 5,887-square-foot, 14-room Victorian at 53 Parsons Street in busy, busy Brighton dropped in late January for $1,259,000. It offered prospective buyers not only that snazzy turret as well as a two-car garage, but flourishes from its 1890s roots such as carved valences and pocket doors.
Within a day of its listing through Hammond Residential, 53 Parsons landed a buyer. A deal for it closed on March 15 for $1,275,000. That is a cool $16,000 over the asking, a perfectly reasonable outcome once one views the interior.
