Converted Back Bay Townhouse Hits the Market for Nearly $4M

Had been apartment building until last decade

The circa-1872 townhouse at 13 Hereford Street in so-much-to-see Back Bay last traded in November 2006 for $2,575,000 when it was an apartment building. The new owner set about converting it into a single-family residence. It's now on the market for the first time since that conversion.

The 4,253-square-foot, 12-room spread includes at least five bedrooms; five bathrooms, including three full ones; two walk-in closets in the main bedroom; a spacious roof deck; a dumbwaiter; and skylights.

How much for the whole shebang? $3,975,000 through Coldwell Banker.
