The more than 2.6-acre estate at 230 Dudley Road in Newton hit the sales market just after New Year’s for $10,250,000. The price then jumped to $10,500,000. And why not? The spread includes an 8,470-square-foot main house in the Georgian Colonial style and a five-bay carriage house with its own living quarters and office space. There’s also a saltwater pool and a tennis court.
And yet. The price just came a-tumblin’ down $1,050,000. The estate, which dates from the late 1920s, is now asking $9,495,000.
