The 124-year-old Queen Anne at 38 Stratford Street in Roslindale archrival West Roxbury hit the sales market back in mid-March for $1,325,000. As we noted then, its charming stunning-ness began with an achingly quaint wraparound porch.
That aura continued through such flourishes as a double parlor (always better than a single!), five fireplaces (including in two of the house's six bedrooms), and a butler's pantry with a wet bar.
The 3,906-square-foot spread had last traded two recessions ago in July 1997 for $305,000 (or $450K in today’s money). It just closed this go-round for its exact asking price of $1,325,000.
