The average price per square foot for a South Boston home is $450 a square foot, according to a new analysis of market-rate listings from real estate research site NeighborhoodX. The analysis did not include the Seaport District and Fort Point, two increasingly distinct areas of Southie that would’ve skewed the numbers way upward.
Perhaps not surprisingly, condos dominate the upper end of the price range here. The modern single-family at 157 Gold Street (featuring one heckuva home office!) is the only house, townhouse, or rowhouse to top the per-square-foot average in the NeighborhoodX analysis.
