Cavernous Somerville Penthouse Poised to Set City Price Record

New, 1 comment

It's asking nearly $1.8M

Unit 5 at 30 Howard Street in Somerville's Davis Square is in contract with an asking price of $1,799,900. If the deal closes at or near that amount, the cavernous condo would set a fresh residential price record for Somerville. The current record-holder is the single-family home at 32 Foskett Street, which traded for $1,725,000 in April 2015.

The 30 Howard penthouse was born of two combined units and runs to 2,500 square feet, with four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There's also a more than 1,500-square-foot deck overlooking the Somerville Community Path. The peaked ceilings, complete with plenty of exposed metal beams, and the copious quantities of glass windows and doors are what really open the joint up, though.

Keller Williams' Ed Greable has the listing. Stay tuned for the closing. It could be a doozy.
