The gut-renovation of Unit 1, a duplex on the garden and parlor floors of 177 Beacon Street in go-go Back Bay, has produced a sleek and open modern condo from the bones of a 116-year-old brownstone.
Highlights of the renovation include a custom-built glass staircase and the retention of original molding in the living room (the fireplace in the den also came with the place).
The 1,820-square-foot spread is new to the market through Gibson Sotheby’s for $2,250,000.
