Chestnut Hill Estate Back With $6.9M Tag After Two-Year Restoration

Had been bought in foreclosure auction in 2014

The estate at 201 Hyslop Road on the Brookline side of Chestnut Hill last traded through a foreclosure auction in October 2014 for $1,800,000.

The new owners then restored the nearly one-acre spread. That restoration included reestablishing the 11,500-square-foot house’s pediments, arched tops, and wooden pilasters—as well as its wood, stone, and tile work—as all of it would have looked when the estate was established more than a century ago.

The house includes six bedrooms, seven full baths, three half-baths, and a garage for three. The tag this go-round through Manuel Davis and Kristy Ganong of Boston Realty Advisors is $6,895,000.
