The 2-BR, 2-BA upper duplex at 1682 Washington Street in the rapidly changing South End hit the sales market in early June through Coldwell Banker for $1,049,000. It quickly went to contract—the open houses had to be cancelled—and sold for $1,200,000.
That’s $151,000 over the asking price, for those scoring at home. That feat makes Unit 9 at 1682 Washington the biggest over-ask in Boston in roughly the past two months, according to real estate research site Open House.
Unit 9 includes skylights in each bedroom, a large kitchen, and access to a shared roof deck. Curiously, the price does not seem to include parking.
