Renovated Beacon Hill townhouse asking $12,500 a month

Modern spread with early-19th-century bones

The 4-BR, 3.5-BA, four-fireplace townhouse at 92 Pinckney Street in super-quaint Beacon Hill recently traded after being listed for $4,500,000. The buyers live in Boston’s western suburbs and plan to relocate in a few years, when their kids split for college.

Until then, they’d like to rent out the 3,344-square-foot spread. It’s currently asking $12,500/month and is available Sept. 1. It had been asking $14,000 at the start of August, so maybe there’s room for negotiation?

The townhouse comes unfurnished. It was recently renovated and left with a sleek, modern interior (the building’s bones date from the 1820s). And, because of its corner location, 92 Pinckney gets light from three sides.
