It can be notoriously difficult to build in Brookline’s Coolidge Corner, but two developers are going to try.
The Fallon Company—the folks who brought you Twenty Two Liberty and 50 Liberty in Boston’s Seaport—and Westbrook Partners have proposed converting the six-story Brookline Holiday Inn at 1200 Beacon Street into a 14-story hotel with 390 rooms and then adding to the site a 10-story residential building with 155 condos or apartments.
The complex would also include ground-floor retail and restaurant space; and parking for 250.
It’s early days still, and the proposal is now with the Town of Brookline. Stay tuned.
