Hubway sets ridership record: 1.27 million in 2016

5 million all time—and counting

Hubway, Boston’s bike-share system, announced Jan. 18 that it had set an annual ridership record in 2016, with 1,270,000 rides region-wide. That sum bests the previous record, set in 2015, by more than 130,000 trips.

What’s more, Hubway set a single-day ridership record on Aug. 9 with 7,200 trips. And, on Oct. 21, the system recorded its 5,000,000th ride.
