Boston’s Residences at Boston Landing lands development partner

2018 opening set

HYM Investment Group LLC

The Residences at Boston Landing is—not surprisingly—the residential component of the 15.2-acre Boston Landing project on Boston’s western edge in Brighton.

Construction on the 17-story, 295-unit complex has been underway for a while now, and it’s expected to open to tenants in June 2018.

Sneaker concern New Balance, the apartments’ lead developer, just announced that John Hancock Financial has joined the project, further ensuring that opening date. The terms of their partnership were not disclosed.

New Balance is also behind the rest of Boston Landing, which includes or is destined to include (deep breath) practice facilities for the Celtics and the Bruins; New Balance’s corporate headquarters; offices for an array of other tenants, including WGBH and Major League Lacrosse; a 290,000-square-foot sports complex; a 175-room hotel; and 80,000 square feet of retail, entertainment, and restaurant space.

As for the apartments, they will range from studios to 3-BRs, and will have access to such amenities as a pool and yoga classes. Elkus Manfredi is designing the complex. Stay tuned for the rents.
