Dorchester’s most expensive condos: Size matters in Boston’s largest neighborhood

The 10 most expensive condos for sale in Dorchester range from $649,999 to $1.259 million, according to an analysis of market-rate listings from real estate research site NeighborhoodX.

The per-square-foot prices run from $284 to $654. The current asking price overall in Dot is $445 a foot.

It would appear, too, that size matters when it comes to condo pricing in Boston’s largest neighborhood by area. Per Constantine Valhouli, NeighborhoodX’s research director:

There are two ways to measure the most expensive properties in any market. One is asking price, the other is price per square foot. In this case, most of the high asking prices are driven by the size of the properties rather than a much higher price per square foot—with the exception of the most expensive unit.
