The neighboring neighborhoods Allston and Brighton are collectively one of the 20 “hottest” urban enclaves in the United States, according to an analysis from Chicago-based brokerage Hotspot Rentals.
The company ranked neighborhoods based on 18 different criteria, including walkability, public transit, entertainment, and cost. Allston-Brighton scored particularly high in walkability and public transit.
The millennial-heavy neighborhood was the only one in the Boston area to make Hotspot Rentals’ list of the 25 hottest. It was ranked 20th, just ahead of New Orleans’ Lower Garden District and just behind Logan Square in Chicago.
The hottest neighborhood of ‘em all? That would be San Francisco’s Mission.
