Boston’s 10 most expensive one-bedroom apartments for sale range in price from $1.225 million for a 948-square-foot spread in Downtown Crossing’s recently constructed Millennium Tower to a 1,230-square-footer in a renovated Back Bay brownstone dating from 1872.

That is according to an analysis from real estate research site NeighborhoodX, which also found that, among these 10, the per-square-foot price runs from $947 to $1,707.

Most fall into the $1,200 to $1,500 range, per NeighborhoodX research director Constantine Valhouli. “As a result,” he said in an email, “the higher prices are driven by a combination of more expensive prices per square foot, along with the larger footprints of these units.”

The largest of the 10 most expensive one-bedrooms is a 1,531-square-foot penthouse at 86 Marlborough Street in Back Bay. It’s pictured above.
