Cambridge colonial revival with custom-made library sells for $4M

32-foot living room included

The 5,647-square-foot colonial revival at 190 Brattle Street near Cambridge’s Harvard Square dropped on the market in September through Coldwell Banker for $4,875,000.

It was a rare offering along one of the city’s toniest drags, and it featured such flourishes as a custom-built library, a 32-foot-long living room, and a 16-foot greenhouse on the wraparound deck.

The asking price came down, though, to $4,500,000 in November; and 190 Brattle sold at the very end of January for $4,000,000 even.
