The 3,512-square-foot Georgian revival at 27 Melville Avenue in Dorchester just went on sale through Gibson Sotheby’s for $995,000.
The 11-room, three-floor spread (with a partially finished basement) features up to five bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. There are also three fireplaces and an ample yard. The bones of the house date from 1889, when Maine architect Frank Blaisdell designed it.
The spread last sold in July 2005 for about $900,000 in today’s cabbage. We’ll see what happens this go-round.
