Charles River swim park organizers to hold public meetings

The Charles River Conservancy is hosting a public feedback session on Saturday, March 25, regarding its effort to create a permanent Charles River swim park within North Point Park between Boston and Cambridge.

Yes, the Charles is clean enough to swim in; and the idea of a designated swimming area in the ancient river is not so far-fetched: Other cities, including New York and London, are trying to figure out ways to reclaim more recreational aspects of their waterways.

The conservancy will hold the feedback session at the Boston Society of Architects’ BSA Space at 290 Congress Street in Boston. The next session is in Cambridge on May 17 at 1 Memorial Drive.
