The 3,817-square-foot colonial at 30 Beltran Street in Malden went on sale through Sun Real Estate in mid-November for $749,000, an unusually hefty sum for the city just north of Boston.
Its three floors included a finished basement with a home theater. There was also the potential for six bedrooms.
Some parts of the house, which went up in 1920, did appear to need work; but that didn’t deter 30 Beltran from landing a deal pretty quickly.
That deal closed for $735,000—a sizable discount off the listing, yes, but still unusually hefty for the city.
We told you Malden was going to happen.
