The conversion of Downtown Crossing’s old Conrad & Chandler department store into apartments is expected to wrap this spring.
Its 27 units are already up for grabs through brokerage Compass. Two-bedrooms start at $3,500; 3-BRs at $5,600; and 4-BRs at $6,000 (yup).
The apartments, which 3MJ Realty developed, include plenty of exposed brick, modern appliances, and 11-foot ceilings. The elevator building also comes with concierge services.

The site itself once hosted the Conrad department store—and, beginning in the late 1950s, the merged Conrad & Chandler store.
That retailer had a Winter Street address, though the official address of the Conrad apartments is around the block at 6 Hamilton Place.
Below is a photo of Conrad & Chandler amid a bustling Winter Street back in the day.
