Boston rent comparison: What $2,700 a month gets

Including in Dot, Back Bay, Fenway

It’s the busiest leasing time of the year, so we’re looking at different price points in different markets.

Up now: $2,700 a month in Boston.

Perhaps not surprisingly, the sum commands a range of options depending on the neighborhood. In some spots, it garners barely a 1-BR and in others a 3-BR.

First up is a 707-square-foot studio in the concierge-serviced FP3 condo building at 346 Congress Street in Fort Point. Unit 312 includes W/D and modern appliances, plus 9.5-foot ceilings.

Unit 3 at 122-124 Boston Street in Dorchester’s Polish Triangle includes a new W/D and ceiling fans in each of the two bedrooms. There’s one bathroom and the apartment runs to 900 square feet.

The 450-square-foot Unit 8 at 15 Garrison Street in Back Bay comes with central air and includes one bedroom and one bathroom. The $2,700 a month also includes a bi-weekly cleaning service.

Unit 101 at Fenway’s 79 Gainsborough Street is targeted toward graduate students and undergrads. The 900-square-foot 1-BR, 1-BA comes with W/D and central air.

Finally, in Roxbury, Unit 6 at 14 Townsend Street is a new-construction 3-BR, 1-BA with access to a shared yard. Cats welcome for $25 extra a month; and there’s coin laundry in the building’s basement.
