Everett’s enVision Hotel will be city’s first new inn in decades

Two miles from future casino

Needham-based developer Global Vision Hotels will host a grand opening of its enVision Hotel Everett on April 10. Everett Mayor Carlo DeMaria is expected to be the guest of honor.

The four-story, 101-key development is Everett’s first new hotel in decades—DeMaria’s office bills it as “Everett's first hotel,” period.

And, perhaps not surprisingly, it will be only two miles from the future Wynn Boston Harbor, the 24-story casino-resort expected to open in early 2019 and to contain more than 600 hotel rooms of its own.

The building at 1834 Revere Beach Parkway that Global Vision carved its hotel from went up in 1922 to house a shoe factory. It was later converted into a sewing factory; and, finally, it became retail space prior to its redevelopment.

The developer promises the new inn will have “a locally-inspired, vintage design with modern technology.” It’s not clear how much all this design and technology will cost: enVision Everett is not taking reservations yet.
