Regional bike-share Hubway plans to add more than 70 new stations in Boston over the next two years and boost the number of kiosks in Cambridge, Somerville, and Brookline as well.
Brookline is getting 13 new spots. The figures for Cambridge and Somerville aren’t out yet.
As for the dozens of fresh kiosks in Boston, the city will pick the locations of those with input from residents. Meetings re: the locations will start this summer.
And! Most Hubway stations in Boston will remain open year-round, instead of closing for the winter. Cambridge tried that out this past winter.
It’s not clear if Hubway kiosks in Brookline and Somerville will also stay open during the colder months. Stay tuned.
