By January of 2018, Boston will have a brand new, moderately-priced apartment development in the heart of downtown, called The Beverly.
100 percent of the units will be for households earning between 30 percent to 165 percent of the area median income in Boston. This all-affordable development is Boston’s first in more than 25 years, according to a press release.

The 239 rentals inside the 484,000-square-foot building will range from studios to one-, two-, and three-bedrooms. Amenities will include a 24-hour lobby, fitness facility, two party rooms, and outdoor terrace. There will also be a dog spa, on-site parking, and bicycle storage.
The 14-story building was formerly known by its location, Parcel 1B. It is designed to reach a LEED Silver certification. There will also be street-level retail constructed with the building.
Lease applications will be available starting in July of this year.
