We’ve known for a while that a tower planned for 2343-2345 Washington Street across from the Dudley Square bus station would be Roxbury’s tallest building.
Now come fresh details about the project via a filing with the city from developer Long Bay Management Corp.
The $144 million tower would stretch to 25 floors and 282.5 feet; and would include 165 apartments—30 of them micro-units targeted toward young professionals, per the Herald’s Donna Goodison—and 46 condos. About 20 percent of the housing units would be designated as affordable.
The building, called the Rio Grande Tower, would also have one floor of amenity space for residents; two floors of commercial space totaling around 28,000 square feet; and about 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.
Plans are still in motion, so things could change. So stay tuned.
