The clapboard Victorian at 34 Hastings Street in West Roxbury dates from the 1870s.
Parts of it, however, have been seriously updated, giving the 2,884-square-foot house a kind of classic-meets-contemporary look.
What’s been updated? The kitchen and the main suite’s bathroom in particular (note the cathedral ceilings). The rest of the nine-room, two-fireplace space maintains the look, if not the feel, of those 19th-century roots.
The house is yours for $1,100,000 through Century 21 Adams KC.
