Three six-story buildings would bring 261 apartments to a nearly 2-acre site near the mammoth Boston Landing development, which itself is due to include 295 apartments.
The Michaels Organization, a New Jersey developer, would build on five parcels along Rugg Road, Braintree Street, and Penniman Road that a parking lot and four industrial buildings now occupy, according to a filing with the city.
The 261 units are supposed to include 94 studios averaging 505 square feet, 105 one-bedrooms averaging 700 square feet, and 62 two-bedrooms averaging 1,500 square feet. Thirty-four apartments would be designated as affordable, per the Herald’s Donna Goodison.
No word yet on the potential rents.
The complex would also come with first-floor retail or restaurant space and an automated valet parking garage. Stay tuned.
