Dorchester and Roslindale had the fastest-growing one-bedroom apartment rents during July compared with the month before, according to a new analysis of available listings from real estate listings site Zumper.
The median rents for one-bedroom apartments in Dorchester and Roslindale increased 9.4 percent and 10 percent, respectively, from June to July.
Neither were close to the most expensive local markets for one-bedroom apartments. That honor went to downtown Boston, where the median was $2,950 in July; the Southie waterfront, where the median was $2,900; and the West End, where it was $2,800.
As Zumper makes clear, though, one-bedrooms were available in July (and presumably now) for under $2,500 a month in core downtown Boston markets such as Beacon Hill and the North End.
And, as for real deals, head to Mattapan, West Roxbury, or Eastie.
