The most expensive one-bedrooms for sale in Boston range from an 803-square-foot spread in the newish Lovejoy Wharf asking $1.35 million (rendered above) to a 2,220-square-footer in the 49-year-old 180 Beacon Street in Back Bay asking $2.25 million.
That is according to an analysis of market-rate listings from real estate research site NeighborhoodX.
All of the 10 most expensive hail from just four neighborhoods, as you can see: Back Bay, the Seaport District, the Waterfront, and the South End.
“On a per-square-foot basis, these range from $890 to $1,681 per square foot,” according to NeighborhoodX research director Constantine Valhouli, “with the most expensive clustering in the Waterfront and Seaport, and the most affordable in Back Bay and South End.”
The cost of these one-bedrooms certainly puts the cost of houses in, say, Dorchester and West Roxbury in perspective.
