Few things are more certain in this life than escalating real estate prices in the Boston area (at least for now).
It didn’t always used to be this way. The region was once generally affordable, with some pockets presenting particularly choice deals compared with other parts of New England and the nation.
In short, one could live well in the Boston area on not too much not too long ago.
That leads us to our latest open thread: What did you pay for your first Boston-area home? We especially want to hear from those folks who bought way back, when prices, even adjusted for inflation, were vastly less expensive than today. Sound off in the comments section below.
