The average asking price for market-rate Roslindale homes as of January 14 was $323 a square foot, according to an analysis from real estate research site NeighborhoodX.
That was from a range of $227 to $601 a square foot. One development in particular drove the average: The under-construction 19-unit 20 Taft Hill Park near the Roslindale Village commuter-rail stop. It’s rendered above and is supposed to open to owners early this year.
“To put these prices in context,” NeighborhoodX research director Constantine Valhouli emailed, “the average asking price in Roslindale falls between Hyde Park ($279 a square foot) and Dorchester ($351 a foot).
“The four least expensive neighborhoods in Boston are Mattapan, Hyde Park, Roslindale, and Dorchester.”
