A report from the start of the year came with some (relative) good news for tenants: Rents ended 2017 only slightly up. In fact, they appeared to be similar to where they were at the end of 2016.

For years since the Great Recession, apartment rents in Boston proper and much of the surrounding region have marched steadily upward, often by leaps and bounds. The latest data suggest a bit of stabilization, which is some solace for tenants.

And which brings us to our latest open thread: What are you paying in rent right now?

Share in the comments section below, and provide, if you will, your neighborhood and/or cross streets as well as the type and the size of the spread you’re renting. Your fellow tenants—and prospective tenants—will appreciate the lowdown.
