The South End handily dispatched Dorchester 66 percent to 34 percent in the finals of the 2017 Curbed Cup to become the region’s No. 1 neighborhood of 2017.
It was a bit of a Cinderella story for the busy, busy South End, which started the annual tournament of 16 seeds at No. 13. It stunned No. 4 Back Bay in the first round, and then eased past East Boston and the Seaport District.
