Boston’s Amazon odds still very good as decision on e-retailer’s HQ nears

Boston is a 7-to-1 favorite to land Amazon’s second headquarters in 2018, according to Paddy Power, a Dublin-based odds-placing website for sports, events, and milestones (here are the odds on who will be the next pope).

Those chances place Boston behind only Atlanta and Austin in terms of which city is likeliest to land the 8 million-square-foot HQ fit for up to 50,000 employees. Those cities are each 3-to-1 favorites. See the full form below.

Boston has been a frontrunner pretty much since Amazon accepted formal bids in October. The e-retailer is expected to make its decision during the early part of 2018.
