The 11-room, three-floor shingle-style Victorian at 35 Myrtle Street in Belmont is on sale for $1.25 million through Century 21’s David Hurley: The place needs work.

Not necessarily a lot—the listing says “bring your contractor”—as it does have charm and style in its existing circa 1897 bones. There are the built-in shelves and china cabinet, the staircase through all three levels, and the long front porch.

But the bedrooms—as many as seven, if a new owner wanted—will need work in particular and the kitchen could bear updating.
