Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, a weekly column that explores what one can rent or buy for a set dollar amount (or thereabouts) in the Boston area. Is one woman’s studio another woman’s townhouse? Let’s find out! Today, the magic number is $700,000.

Unit 2 at 663 East Seventh Street in South Boston comes with lots of new stuff: New fridge, new dishwasher, new deck, new backsplash. The 1,044-square-foot two-bedroom, two-bathroom is asking $700,000 on the nose. The condo fee is $131.

In Dorchester, $699,990 buys an entire house at 37 Mallet Street. The house has four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. There is a basement and the driveway holds two cars.

Penthouse 91 at 464 Commonwealth Avenue in Back Bay comes with its own roof deck. The 770-square-foot one-bedroom, one-bathroom wants $699,900. The condo fee is $676.25.

Another Dorchester number, Unit 6 at 20 Fuller Street is part of a new six-condo project. The 1,202-square-foot three-bedroom, two-bathroom is asking $699,900. That tag includes two deeded parking spaces and a large amount of storage. The condo fee is $200.

We end in the West End, where Unit 818 on the eighth floor of 150 Staniford Street is asking $699,000. The tag for the 1,077-square-foot two-bedroom, two-bathroom includes a parking space. The condo fee is $1,366.
