The stone and shingle Victorian at 154 Temple Street in West Roxbury dates from 1886, and plenty of details from that 19th-century period survive in the house, including the keyhole stone fireplace, the curved window seats, and the hand-carved woodwork.
The house—on sale now through Unlimited Sotheby’s International Realty for $1.199 million—might need some work in places, the kitchen in particular. But any owner would have quite the canvas to paint upon, no?
The 3,112-square-foot house with four bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms also has a deck and a one-car garage.
