What $600,000 buys around Watertown right now

Including a Cape Cod and a condo with three parking spots

Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, a weekly column that explores what one can rent or buy for a set dollar amount (or thereabouts) in the Boston area. Is one woman’s studio another woman’s townhouse? Let’s find out! This week it’s $600,000 in Watertown.

The 2,000-square-foot Unit 12 at 12 Vivian Drive in Watertown Square includes four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. The $599,900 tag includes two parking spaces and a fenced-in yard. The condo fee is $150.

Unit 3 at 76 Hovey Street is also in the Watertown Square area and is also asking $599,900. It runs to 2,212 square feet and includes multiple levels with three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms total. The price also covers two garaged parking spaces.

Another Watertown Square-area number, the Cape Cod at 41 Charles Street is asking $595,000. The 1,163-square-foot three-bedroom, one-bathroom includes a new driveway.

Unit 602 at 151 Coolidge Avenue near the Cambridge border and the Charles River runs to 1,290 square feet, and contains two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The $595,000 tag includes garaged parking and access to a pool. The condo fee is $500.14.

We end in Watertown Square, where Unit 1 at 20 Chester Street is asking $589,000 for its 1,306 square feet, two bedrooms, and one bathroom—and three parking spots, one of them garaged. The condo fee is to be determined.
