It’s still available at $45 million

The so-called Grand Penthouse on the 60th floor of Millennium Tower at 1 Franklin Street in Downtown Crossing dropped on the sales market in early November for $45 million through Gibson Sotheby’s Moran Group.

It instantly and easily became 2018’s most expensive asking for the Boston area.

The palace in the sky runs to 13,256 square feet; and includes eight bedrooms as well as 10 and a half bathrooms. There is also a sizable terrace and, unsurprisingly, the vantage affords 360-degree views of the Boston region. The tag also covers six garaged parking spaces.

If the penthouse sells around or over its asking price—it’s still available in case you were wondering—it would become the most expensive home sale in Boston history. To put it in further perspective, the priciest Boston home sale of 2018 was a $15.11 million deal for a Beacon Hill penthouse.

The Millennium Tower Grand Penthouse sold for $35 million in August 2016. Stay tuned this go-round.
