The average asking price for a market-rate home in East Boston as of early December is $514 a square foot, according to an analysis from real estate research site NeighborhoodX.
That places the fast-changing enclave pricing-wise between Jamaica Plain, where the average is $498 a square foot, and Chestnut Hill, where it’s $594 a foot, per NeighborhoodX research director Constantine Valhouli.
Also worth noting: Eastie’s upper end is comparable in price now to average asking prices in Waterfront, the North End, and the South End, Valhouli said.
