Jamaica Plain and East Boston had the fastest-growing median one-bedroom rents during the winter, according to a new analysis from real estate listings site Zumper. The median was up 10 percent from the fall in JP and 7 percent in Eastie.
Zumper’s analyses cull from available and vacant apartments, so they’re pretty solid snapshots of where the market stands at particular times.
As for big drops from the fall to the winter, those were most pronounced in Dorchester and the South End—down 8 percent and 6 percent, respectively.
Downtown Boston and what Zumper labels the South Boston waterfront had the priciest one-bedroom medians this winter. See the map below for a closer citywide comparison. And click through here for an interactive map.
