The average price for a market-rate home in South Boston was $747 a square foot as of mid-March, according to an analysis from real estate research site NeighborhoodX.
The analysis excluded Fort Point and the Seaport District, which the site considers markets distinct from the rest of Southie.
That South Boston average springs from a range that runs from $391 a foot to $1,346 a foot. The larger analysis, too, reveals an interesting trend in the neighborhood’s condo prices in particuar, especially given the exclusion of Fort Point and the Seaport.
“The upper end of South Boston condo prices is now on par with the average asking price in Beacon Hill,” Constantine Valhouli, NeighborhoodX’s research director, said over email.
