Still among nation’s highest

The median rents for one- and two-bedroom apartments in Boston both remained flat in March, according to a new analysis from real estate listings site Zumper.

Zumper’s analyses cull from available and vacant apartments, so they present pretty good snapshots of the market at a particular point in time.

And where’s the Boston market at this particular point in time—late March into April? The median one-bedroom rent is $2,300 a month; and the median two-bedroom is $2,700.

The chart below shows how these sums stack up against other U.S. cities. It also shows that while rents stayed flat from February to March, they were up from March 2017. We think that trend will only continue. What’d you think?
