Boston rent comparison: What $2,500 a month rents around the city

Including in Back Bay, Southie, and Dot

Boston has to be one of the few American cities where $2,500 a month isn’t that much in rent. What does the sum get you as winter (finally!) fades to spring?

Our latest Curbed Comparisons takes a look.

↑ Starting in Back Bay, where Unit 2A at 271 Commonwealth Avenue includes access to a shared roof deck. There is also laundry on each floor.

The one-bedroom, one-bathroom with 12-foot ceilings runs to 460 square feet.

Unit 5 at 105 Fulton Street in the North End is a floor-through two-bedroom with one bathroom and 700 square feet total.

↑ The newly constructed Telford condo building at 180 Telford Street in Allston has several units for rent.

This particular one is Unit 513, a 490-square-foot one-bedroom, one-bathroom asking $2,500.

The building includes amenities such as a yoga room, a gym, and outdoor grills. A parking spot is also available for rent for an undisclosed sum.

Unit 3 at 100 Old Harbor Road in South Boston includes two decks and in-unit laundry.

The 569-square-foot one-bedroom, one bathroom is also two blocks from the ocean.

↑ We’ll end in the Polish Triangle area of Dorchester, with Unit 1 at 15 Harvest Street. It’s a two-bedroom, two-bathroom spread over 1,000 square feet.

The rent includes in-unit laundry and basement storage.
