Boston price comparison: What Massachusetts’ median condo price buys

Including in Dot, JP, and Rozzie

The median price for a condo in Massachusetts was $389,000 as of the start of April, according to the Massachusetts Association of Realtors and the Warren Group, a research firm. (That was several thousands of dollars more than the median for a house, mind you.)

What does that condo median buy in Boston proper? Let’s find out in our latest Curbed Comparisons. Oh, and don’t forget to vote for your favorite at the end!

↑ Unit 2 at 24 Joyce Kilmer Road in West Roxbury retails for that Massachusetts median of $389,000.

It’s an 1,100-square-foot three-bedroom, one-bathroom; and includes storage and laundry in the two-unit building’s basement. It also comes with deeded parking.

↑ Near the median condo price is this 1,001-square-foot, three-level condo in Roslindale that’s retailing for $379,999.

Unit 3 at 3 Ridge Street includes two bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms; there’s also assigned parking. The condo fee is $130.

↑ Unit 3 at 684 Columbia Road in Dorchester is retailing for a tag nearly identical to the Mass. condo median. The 788-square-foot two-bedroom, two-bathroom wants $389,900.

That includes storage in the building’s basement and access to the laundry there, too. Parking is “negotiable.” The condo fee is $198.

↑ Also in Dorchester—also on Columbia Road, in fact—is Unit 1 at 650 Columbia. The 1,297-square-foot three-bedroom, one-bathroom is the product of a recent renovation.

It’s asking $379,900. That includes access to laundry in the building’s basement and to storage. The price also covers on-street parking. The condo fee is $198.

↑ We end with a stop in Jamaica Plain, at Unit 1L at 66 Boynton Street. It’s a 702-square-foot two-bedroom, two-bathroom asking $399,000. (We should note that it’s a two-bedroom by dint of the fact that its living room can be closed off.)

There is laundry and storage in the basement. The condo fee is $298.
