West Cambridge Victorian on the market for first time in 35 years for $4.8M

There is a touch of Second Empire in the house near Harvard Square

The 5,376-square-foot, 14-room Victorian at 22 Craigie Street in West Cambridge has been in the same family for 35 years. That family overhauled the property, the bones of which date from 1871.

Left behind is a colorful and stately Second Empire-esque pile now on sale for a very Cambridge-like $4.8 million through Gibson Sotheby’s International.

The house includes the potential for up to seven bedrooms; and there are six full bathrooms as well as six fireplaces. There are also vestiges of the early-1870s construction, including the moldings and windows in the living room and parlor.

Have a look around.
