The nine-room, 2,614-square-foot shingled gambrel at 90 Marion Road in Watertown is the product of a major overhaul that its owners undertook after buying the circa-1898 pile in 2004.

That work gave the four-bedroom house an airy, contemporary look; and left behind touches such as the wood stove in the family room and the peaked ceilings up top.

The house, which includes a lush yard on the edge of Watertown’s Whitney Woods, is on sale through Laura Segal for $1.1 million. Bask.
