The average asking price for market-rate homes in Hyde Park was $285 a square foot as of late May, according to an analysis from real estate research site NeighborhoodX.

A range of $196 a foot to $419 a foot produced the average. See below for a deeper breakdown.

The figures place Hyde Park squarely in Boston’s affordability column. “Within Boston itself, only Mattapan and Codman Square are more affordable,” NeighborhoodX research director Constantine Valhouli said over email.
