Ten of the 11 largest condos for sale in the Boston area as of late May were asking at least $1,000 a square foot, according to an analysis from real estate research site NeighborhoodX.
Each of the the 11 was no larger than 450 square feet, and the smallest was 262 feet. Each was purpose-built as a small condo or converted from an existing space.
As for the asking prices, they were far from tiny, even by Boston-area standards. They ranged from $319,000 to $595,000.
“These are New York City prices,” NeighborhoodX research director Constantine Valhouli said over email. “With the exception of the one unit in Somerville’s Union Square, these are all asking over $1,000 per square foot.” See the chart below for more context.
